A subtle sweetness hits her cheek,
And stirs her to awake,
A chill rings through her sleepy mind,
Her body starts to ache.
Not an ache of hurt or pain,
But passion, pure and raw,
She wonders if it's just a dream,
Until it sweeps her jaw.
Soft cool lips, delicious breath,
Coerce her to give in,
Or hunger growing deep inside,
Will kill her from within.
Her heart is beating in her ears,
Still she finds no fear,
And though she tries, but cannot move,
It still does not appear.
Her only wish is she could touch,
The one she can't resist,
The cold, dark shadow that appears,
At night upon the mist.
The lust that builds on his approach,
Spreads like a disease,
Quickly taking over her,
Commanding her with ease.
He never lets her see his face,
But dreams bring it each night,
The only love she's ever known,
Has never touched the light.
She hopes each night it will not end,
Each day the sun would set,
To take her back to what she craves,
The lure she can't forget.
He was so cruel to leave her here,
And play this torrid game,
Even though it angered her,
She loved it all the same.
