Well all give to others that we care
And for most we rather not receive
We are content as long as they are happy
But at times that doesn't apply
There are certain people
That have gives so much but have
Never even seen happiness from
What they give to the one person they care
Though the person says they
Don't want to hear a "thank you"
Deep down they do
And at times people take advantage of that
They know I've said don't mention it
But it doesn't mean you have to listen to me
It would be comforting to hear it from time to time
And know you mean it from your heart
You know I'll always care and love you
Yet you fail to see all the good I've done for you
Soon enough I'll just be like many other lovers
I'll leave you with a broken heart
Yet I'm truly the one whose broken hearted...
You failed to see what you had in front of you
And now there's nothing left between the two of us
I've strive to make you smile and happy
Yet all of my efforts have gone in vain
Because you never did say those words
