When jealousy showed its ugly face
You were there and saved me with grace
It took some time to get to know you well
kind and loving heart hiding within a hardened shell
You once told me to be incapable to feel
Yet never realized how time did heal
a tormented soul once torn in two
It shines through all you say and do
We need the other to reveal what is hidden deep inside
Because to the true nature of our own heart we are blind
